World Wide Missions

Currently, we support missionaries in Japan - a notoriously difficult place for missionaries because of the native culture.  It can be quite a difficult mission field because becoming a Christian can lead to a very difficult life in this rich society.  We support a team of Wycliffe bible translators whose ministry fields involve helping African Christians to 'find a voice' and write worship songs in their OWN LANGUAGES.  Chris G. regularly runs clinics in multiple African countries to bring the Word of God in song for those many who have only just had the bible translated into their local dialect. At the same time, his wife helps minister to 'missionary kids' - who grow up in different countries due to their parents' missionary work and often face unique challenges. These challenges can stem from constant transitions, identity confusion, and the potential for witnessing trauma. 

We also have assisted in the construction of a new orphanage in rural Uganda with the help of David Otenko and Dream Childrens Ministry (see pictures below). We look forward to partnering with him to help his underserved rural community - which requires 2 days of mountainous hiking to reach. Please help his ministry through prayer. 

We also support a couple working in Africa that are helping a rural minority tribe to have their first written language.  We cannot provide their location for fears that the local government find out and punish them or those that they serve.  If you need to know the mystery - then come and ask us about them. 

We regularly bring the stories of 'Voice of the Martyrs' in our bulletin to bring light to the persecution and hardship of Christians throughout the world.
